Nipple cream was never a huge hit for me. I used it occasionally when things were super chafed and it was nice to have around, but it never made my daily rotation. That said, I know people who swear by it. So it’s worth trying out.
There are two types and they’re basically interchangeable in terms of what they do:
Earth Mama Nipple Butter is the one I liked better. It absorbs and is not greasy.
Lanolin is the classic recommendation. It works. It’s also really greasy and thick, which some people love (seals everything in) and some people hate (me). Lansinoh makes the one everyone has. If you’re not sure which type you are, start with the Earth Mama. If you want something heavier, lanolin is always there.
Both are safe for baby to ingest, so no wiping off before feeds.

Earth Mama Organic Nipple Butter
Non-lanolin nipple cream. Absorbs fast, not greasy.
