WiFi baby monitors are great until you're at a hotel with one of those networks that makes you confirm your room number in a browser. The Nanit can't do that. Neither can most WiFi cameras.
The Eufy is a closed system. Camera talks directly to the parent unit, no WiFi needed. It just works. Hotels, grandparents' houses, Airbnbs with sketchy internet, anywhere the WiFi situation is a question mark.
We have friends who travel with their own portable WiFi hotspot and have figured out how to get the Nanit working in hotels. That is a level of preparedness we respect but do not possess. We keep the Eufy as our dedicated travel monitor and it has never let us down.
