The Spectra S1 Plus

Your insurance covers a breast pump. Most people grab whatever's free and don't think twice about it. Think twice about it.

Pay the upgrade fee for the S1. It's the same pump as the S2 — same suction, same settings — but cordless. The difference doesn't sound like much until you're stuck in a corner because the outlet is behind a chair. Or until you want to pump on the couch. Or anywhere that isn't within four feet of a wall.

The upgrade is usually around $75. Two kids in, it's the least I'd do differently.

Free through insurance (upgrade fee ~$75)
Get this through your insurance. Pay the upgrade from the S2 if you have to — cordless is worth it.
