Before we started any kind of potty training, we wanted a practice potty just sitting in the bathroom. No pressure, no schedule. Just available for whenever they got curious.
The Summer My Size Potty Pro was our “casual potty.” It’s toddler-sized, looks like a real toilet (which they think is hilarious), and it was cheap enough that having it sit unused for months didn’t feel like a waste. Both kids used it to get comfortable with the idea of a potty before we started any real training. We pulled it once training began and switched to the regular toilet with a seat reducer.
This is a gateway potty, not a long-term solution. Its whole job is to be there when your kid first gets curious. Once you’re actually training, you’ll probably move to the real toilet. Don’t overthink this purchase — cheap and available is the whole point.
